thanksgiving on the peninsula!

This year, Thanksgiving was definitely a treat. I got to go back to my hometown of Long Beach Washington and see all of my family and friends. There was one friend I missed the most though, but I'll talk about that later. Not knowing much about this American holiday [I'm from China, remember?!] So, this year it was really fun. I did a lot of fun things like nap with Aunt Lindsay, and Grandma taught me how to carve the turkey! We also had a french family stay with us for a few days and they l.o.v.e.d. me! They kept asking me to hang out..but I don't kno much french so I just sat there.....it was almost like I was stuffed I was so quiet! Let's see some visuals of my amazing weekend in the smallest town ever, shall we?

I tried this new thing called strawberry freezer jam. I don't really know how I feel about it.It was kind of..cold and slimy in my panda mouth. I'd definitely eat it again though. My family tried it on these biscuits..and it looked really yummy, but I was saving room for pie. :]
I helped grandma bake all of our food - it was my turn to check on it. I decided it was time for everything to come out the oven. I'm such a helpful panda!

Since I was one of the only males in the house, I got to carve the turkey! I was very precise...even though I didn't enjoy any the turkey for the simple fact that I'm a veggie....I did enjoy the smells wafting from the oven and the rest of the kitchen!

I was the wine master this week - we had whites and reds for days! I had this bottle all to myself - and boy, it was good! The french told me that whoever drinks the last glass in the bottle will be married by the end of the year. That sure excited some people at the table....

Some of you have met my life partner, Hippo. We weren't able to spend American Thanksgiving together, so I wrote him a note to mail to Bellingham where he is with his owner. I miss Hippo a lot! I can't wait to see him tomorrow!

I was also assigned whipped cream duty. Little does everyone know how much this PANDA loves whipped cream! I didn't share with anyone.... :]

Those were the highlights of my weekend...stay tuned for more!

my latest adventures in the big city...

Hello friends! As you know, I've been very busy being a Panda. I spent some time in Bellevue with my new bestie Bella, who is a poodle mixed with something else. These humans just love these floofy animals! We snuggled at night-time...

How cute are we?!

The rest of my adventures were in my favorite place: PORTLAND! We went to all of the best places, and here I will show you. First, I have to introduce you to my newest traveling partner: Hippo, the pink hippo. He loves to travel, but sometimes has a hard time getting around...we blame it on genetics.

He insists on driving, but sometimes I just don't get it - I mean, he obviously needs to get a booster seat.

When we got to Portland, we were quite famished. We ended up going to this place called the Stepping Stone which has been on television a few times and has amaaazing breakfast! Here we are, enjoying our meals:

Hippo is a bit of a light eater.

After that, we went to POWELL'S books, our favorite place in the whole world! Look what I found while I was there!

I'm pretty sure I'll be the best dressed Panda in all of the Pacific Northwest!
And one more thing we did which I completely loved and what I will leave you with:
we ate donuts!

They were SO GOOD!

yummm. :]

my favorite things!

Hi Friends!
As a Panda, I am very busy, as you can see with my lack of adventures. Right now, since I'm on vacation in Bellevue enjoying room service and a double bed [whats up with my owner having a twin? someone talk to her about that...] so I haven't had much time to catch you all up to date on my adventures. For now I wanted to share with you some things I like to do in my free time:

I love playing cards! My owner taught me how to play a weird form of gin rummy, and we played our way through New Zealand. This is me in an airport in Fiji, winning the game!

I LOVE SUNBATHING! I'm a very fair-skinned Panda, but as long as I have SPF 45, I'm happy to be in the sun!

I love writing. I often help my owner with her homework. English is my specialty, even though I hail from China....

That's it for today, my friends! Soon I'll be going on a trip to my owner's homeland, and don't worry, I'll take pictures of my new friends I met on my vacation to Bellevue!
